A handmade clutch purse upcycled from a vintage Japanese obi features hexagons and stylized pine seeds in lilac

STORY
A Japanese symbol inspired by the shell of the tortoise in hexagons.  
The kikko brings longevity, luck and prosperity.

Pine (Matsu) is a Japanese homophone for “wait”, it is a common symbol that creates anticipation for the winter season. Pine also depicts fidelity as fallen pine needles are always in a pair.

MATERIALS
Base Fabric: vintage Japanese silk obi
Pattern: Kikko in silver Pine in lilac
Hardware: 8" metal frame, Swarovski cyrstal knob closure
Strap: 70" metallic chain strap

MEASUREMENTS: 9″ x 5″ x 2.5″

We do our best to photograph the clutch bag to show how they will appear in person, but due to the nature of working with upcycled material there will be some variation in the pattern seen here. This adds an element of uniqueness to the bag, with no two patterns being exactly the same.
